Keel-stepped or Deck-stepped Mast?

We have both on our new boat. Deck stepped Mizzen, keel stepped Main. No leaks on the Main as the boot is properly installed. Sorta nice to not have to worry about any leaks from from the mizzen as it,s directly over the aft bed LOL our colvin had keel stepped masts with boots, and ya have to keep up on them to keep things dry. but we never had any real problems with them with proper maintaince! Again as said above don't let the style of mounting the masts keep ya from buying the boat ya like !! They both are safe as is shown by all the boats out there that have one or the other and sail just fine !! Just my 2 cents
