Another Alberta boy here:-)
We did an ispa week long course out of Vancouver last may. Comp crew and day skipper. It was through ocean forest voyaging. Norm and Beth Cooper.
It was on their own boat, and they only take one couple at a time. It was a good combo of relaxed liveaboard,and course work.
I think they are taking this summer off to do an Alaska trip, but that might have changed. I highly recommend them.
Otherwise, look me up at wabamun lake this summer
