Winter coming....Damnit

We leave the boat for the season today and an appointment for Winterization has been made. Is there any reason/advantage to to have a small thermostat controlled ceramic heater in the cabin?

If you're plugged in I have found a small 110v dehumidifier does a better job keeping the relative humidity down. That may not apply in colder climates but it works for me in the PNW.

Not sure the fire hazard possibility of a ceramic electric heater but my vote would be no. No real advantage but may do the reverse. Possible the heater might turn snow into water, that water runs down the side then freezes.

I run a heater if I'm in there working, but unplug when I leave. A lot of yards won't let you leave the boat plugged in anyway, not enough outlets to go around.

The only thing I leave on in the winter is the oil pan heaters on the mains and generator, I also have covers for the er vents to help retain heat.
