I wonder why he changed course?

2 photos show him ploughing straight into breaking waves, the other shots with the waves on his starboard quarter.

That Alaskan crab fisherman thats on this forum says they 'jog' into big waves at 45 degrees.

So there isn't much need for this guy to ram straight over a couple.... unless its just for the camera.

I have been on the Grand Banks. It can get really nasty there, and extremely foggy. The banks are a naturally shallow area so the seas get steeper and the northeasters come through regularly in the winter. But I have also seen times when it is flat calm and clear as a bell. Pick your time and stay as far from fishing boats as possible. The ship I was on hit something in the middle of the night in pea soup fog and we never did find out what it was even though we spent a good day searching.
