Re: Yachties deported from NZ

Arrest would not have happened if they were from the UK?

Maybe so but what would have happened if they were French?

Re: Yachties deported from NZ

We that have lived in NZ and had a long experience of ill-equiped, unskilled, and too often badly behaved Pacific cruisers are getting tired of that lot. True for some of us even before C19. Especially those of us Kiwis tasked with being responsible for you. I have a history as a yacht inspector for our then Maritime Safety Authority. Seen the worst equipped yachts come here then after they try to sail off again who gets to rescue them. Yeah the likes of me and the NZ taxpayers! Have any of you lot heard of being responsible for yourself? Speaking for myself I don’t want you or your money. Rather I would have your boats if any of them were good for me. My younger son has won a great boat and is sailing it back here after the half competent owner flew home. Time we got a bit more careful of whinging Trump voters. Any of you thought of trying golf?

Re: Yachties deported from NZ

I say again: There is no problem. Fly home and we will sail your boats to NZ. Everyone wins. You get to enjoy your own country and all its great handling of this C19 and we get your boats. Or at least the few good ones. The rest you can burn. Why would you imagine we owe you more??? Take responsibility for your situation. You put yourself there.

Love the way this thread has got real finally. And thanks for the one fine 58ft cat my son and l will enjoy. Always have preferred good boats to people who don’t deserve them. Don’t have to love Cindy but it beats dying under your stupid leaders. Great sailing here right now. Less Foreign f..wits Cheers

Yes, I'm very proud of the way NZ has handled the last 9 months and I'm glad too see other Kiwis kicking back at the BS, thanks.

Hopefully none. Who needs them? And why would we Kiwis want to visit Skippieland?

Re: Yachties deported from NZ

Last 10 years average 100 per year both within and outside of NZ SAR, majority foreign flagged and includes vessels of all types. Inshore averages 600 since 2005 majority NZ recreational boaters kayaks etc.

Yotiheff. What a insulting arrogant twat you are. You don’t speak for us kiwis, you speak for yourself. You just insulted a whole country because you didn’t like the views of 2 or 3 of them, every country has them, and your one of ours. Loose the attitude mate, it’s embarrassing.

Re: Yachties deported from NZ

Would be nice if you had dressed down those that insulted our own nation, and yes tit for tat gains absolutely nothing however passionate discussion can sometimes overrides and dominates common sense. Take care.

To visit the hundreds of thousands who live and work here perhaps.

From the degree of nastiness which has crept into the thread I'd say that your imprisonment is already having a serious adverse effect and you're beginning to suffering a bit of "stir craziness".

Maybe the sheep are on strike for better conditions...or are in lockdown?
