Great Thread, I have lived here 35 + years. I still like the 'Show". Hope to see you soon. Saturday? Fleet Reserve upstairs 3:00 pm ? A CF get together ?

That sounds like a plan!! I am working but will make time to be there!! That sounds great!!

And as for the ducks - we are just pulling the dink up at night. I have 3 dogs onboard and the I sware the duck come to the boat just too make the dogs mad! My husband is thinking of the different ways to cook them. They are so cute when you are going by them in the dink or you are sitting down by Ego Ally and watching the kids feed them and Ego Ally is another place they like to leave there lil presents of poop on your dink. Stupid ducks.

If you are thinking of chartering in the BVI, stop by the BVI Tourist Board booth and get the straight scoop from the Charter Yacht Society of the BVI representative.

Cheers,
Tim

As of this morning all the moorings in Back Creek and the ones well up Spa Creek are taken. There is room in St Mary's Cove immediately above the bridge for boats 35' LOA or less. There looked to be a few openings in the main field but I wouldn't count on them lasting much longer. Anchoring is building up in both Spa Creek and Back Creek although there is some room.

Please remember the 75' stand-off ordinance in Annapolis so those of us who are local can get in and out of our slips.

Re: Annapolis Sailboat Show

Just some quick sage advice about the show. Go there have fun but don't buy anything. Think about it for a few months to make sure and when you're ready to buy come down to the Miami show and buy here!!!
I know, but a fellas got to try.

Re: Annapolis Sailboat Show

Cabo Rico is going to be there, this year with a smaller model, the 36. Nice change from the bigger boats many can't afford.

Re: Annapolis Sailboat Show

Don't forget the "Out of the Boat Show Show" brokers show at the Walzak dock between the water taxi dock and the Yacht Club. There will be about 40 brokerage boats to see, including mine.

I poked around the show today and thought there were three boats worth a look:

Three little birds

Outbound 46

Re: Annapolis Sailboat Show

Hendricks is wonderful. The weather was perfect. The crowds were not a problem.

Parking at the stadium is $10.

I noticed the longest lines to climb on board the boats were the big cats, dream world, and the moderate priced boats, practical world.

Hendricks is wonderful.

Anyone know if there is space to anchor in Spa Creek? I'm an hour away!

Thanks
