Gerald,

You seem to have the hang of it, since you've opened this thread, and you've posted five times in another thread. Am I missing your problem?

Hey you know you are dealing with old retired barnicle covered low tech sailors here. I think I can see through the fog now. Thanks for your reply.

I also came to this site to find out how to make a post. I found the topic I want but only see a "Quick Reply" dialogue box. I wish to post under "plumbing" but with a new thread about my Lavac toilet problem. How do I do that?

I would only add to what anjou and David have posted that before you click on Submit New Thread, you click on Preview Post. This will show you exactly how your post will appear, and it gives you a final opportunity to check your spelling and grammar, whether you've coherently stated the point you were trying to make, whether you've unintentionally (or not) written something that violates the CF Rules - in short, it's your last chance to satisfy yourself that you haven't composed something you'll later regret.

I use 'Edit' after I have made a post so I can include further insults.

Ah, yes, Half-Century Mark, but you only have 30 minutes to edit a post. Isn't it much better to have filled your post with insults before posting, just in case you can't think "insultingly" enough under the pressure of a dwindling 30-minute clock?

The Half Century isn't till monday. So I'm still a young man, Gramps.

Tuesday I will search Ebay for a boat friendly wheel chair and head to Thailand for some serious Gelcoat work to my body

Woe!

You're right: I imagine that would bring you quite a bit of woe…

Ah rats!

I posted a reply to David thanking and updating him on the status of my new head in the plumbing section. When finished, I started a new thread on Plannning a cruise to Hawaii from San Diego with many questions. When I clicked on Preview Post so that I could proof it...poof, it disappeared. Do you know of any hiding places where these two posts might be lurking? How could I lose 2 posts in two different sections?

Help!
