Are the Promariner ProNautic and Sterling Pro Charge Ultra the same?

Hi all-

In the market to replace our 100A Mastervolt chargers and was looking at (among others) the Promariner ProNautic and Sterling Pro Charge Ultra. The cases and panel configuration are almost identical, so I was wondering if these are really the same unit with just after market labeling changes?

The Promariners seem to be about $50 more expensive per unit, so wondering if anyone was aware of any other meaningful differences??

Cheers- Matt

Yep, memo missed us here in Indonesia!

Thanks for that... guess we'll just go with the cheaper option!

Re: Are the Promariner ProNautic and Sterling Pro Charge Ultra the same?

I have the Pronautics charger and have been having a PITA issue trying to get into a couple of the settings using the manual this weekend. I finally assumed it was defective. Last nite doing a You Tube search, I ran across a Sterling video showing the process to get it into equalization mode. Not how the Promariner manual explains. DL’d the Sterling manual and going to use it. A couple of comments on the YT video also stated same problem as I was having. I’m assuming since both units are the same, the setup/operation is the same also.
Just a heads up if you go with Promariner and have difficulty in the setup stage

Just a quick note on Sterling - their customer service was amazing. I had purchased three of their battery-to-battery chargers (none direct from them) and found later (almost a year, fully installed) that they didn’t have a feature I required. Upon asking them, they said I needed different units. They took back my prior units, gave me credit for most of what I actually paid, and then gave me a major discount on the new units. My out of pocket was trivial and I now have a much better solution. Very glad I got Sterling!

Maybe not exactly the same. They have the same engineering, design, and patents. Sterling is UK and Promariner is North America. I have seen some posts about difficultly in getting customer service from Sterling in North America.

I thought only the motherboard is shared.

Certainly not the same wrt warranty and handling service issues out of warranty.

Yes that will vary by location, I believe Sterling is more internationally minded.

Charles Sterling, pretty sure is the engineer / designer, answers emails directly for advanced issues regular CSRs can't answer.
