I'm selling Tarka, a 1973 Albin Vega, fully outfitted, full of gear, and with lots of upgrades and improvements that I made over the last two years in preparation to take her across the Pacific. I've seen this boat on the hard in curacao and again in Shelter bay, it's a great deal for the right person! Sorry to see your selling her...

Oh fun memories from the Curaçao boatyard. We stripped the bottom all the way down to the gelcoat, and then gave her a nice protective barrier of graphite impregnated epoxy before priming and painting. It was tough to paint over the epoxy coat, as it was pretty sexy.

I've sold several of these and personally owned one. Great boat and this one looks well cared for, readily equipped and I think that is a great price.

We have been following along on your adventure since video #1. Boy, have you and Tarka come a long way. Well done!! You are our favorite weekly YouTube channel by far.

$20,000+ of boat and new or newish gear for $10k??? Now that, is a heck of a deal!

We've got half a notion to buy Tarka, bring her up to the west coast of Mexico where we are, put her in inside storage and just keep her safe and sound until you are ready to go again. (and we are only half kidding).

After all... we would only be spending our adult children's inheritance so why the heck not?

Hahaha. Now that's a win-win for me! If you did that, you could have her for free .

We actually discussed sailing her up to California, or at least up to Baja for storage until later, and it's still on the table if she doesn't sell - but not until after hurricane season probably.

Hey man, I have been avidly following your adventures on YouTube and it certainly seems like a shame that you are selling.

Lovely little boat and very inspirational adventures. I don't know your situation, but have you considered setting up a Go Fund Me page to raise your 10k instead of selling your boat?
You have a great deal of supporters who would probably love to help out with whatever your speed-bumps are, just so we could all keep vicariously sailing with you around the world. I'd donate a hundred bucks or so…

Hey man, thanks! We appreciate the support and I'm glad you've enjoyed our journey.

We are not selling because we need the money so much, but strictly for reasons pertaining to my family. Even if it were an issue of money, we're committed to donating all our YouTube revenue to CORAL, and I think we'd feel pretty hypocritical, if not silly, launching a GoFundMe.

I'm any case, I think this is more of a pause to the adventure, than it is an end.

I've enjoyed your videos and have watched every one of them. Looking forward to seeing the rest of the ones you plan on putting out. I'm sorry to hear of your plans to abandon your cruise. I hope that you can resolve whatever issues are forcing you to step away from your current lifestyle, and that you will have a speedy return to sailboat cruising. Best wishes.
