For Sale: Albin Vega 27
Traveler is a well-maintained and solidly-built bluewater sloop with newer sails and a diesel engine. She was purchased in anticipation of a singlehanded northern voyage to Newfoundland, and was chosen because of the Vega’s offshore pedigree and her excellent structural condition, with no soft spots, delamination, blisters or other issues with the hull and deck. My plans have changed (I’m returning to sea professionally) and Traveler is now offered for sale. With updated electronics and a little spit & polish, she’ll be in top shape and ready to cruise!

Thanks for correcting the link David! I tried to fix it but for some reason I'm not getting an edit button on my own initial post here...
And yes, the correct link is www.interlakes.org/ilhs/faculty/bburke/vega.htm

Nice Vega
Bill
Just saw you post and I am looking for a boat. Funny enough I am from Newfoundland and would like to sail there also. But for now I am living in Kingston, ON. I have been dinghy sailing for a few years and out with friends now it's time to get my own boat. I know a little about Vegas, one of the guys at the club here has one and I did some reading on them.
Shipping to Lake Ontario may pose some problems, but I have a couple of questions anyway.
Does it have a stove?
Is there a marine head of just a porta-potie?
What is bottom paint/Antifouling, when was it done?
Does it have the original Vega feathering prop or has it been replaced?
What is the metal ring at the base of the companionway?
Thx
Glenn
