Re: 1973 Albin Vega - $10,000 - Panama
I'd book a flight down there tomorrow if I thought I could get her back to Florida in one piece. Unfortunately, I currently have exactly the same sailing skill level that you had when you first purchased her Would you be willing to skipper her back with me to the Keys and show me the ropes?

Thanks for loyal support, and the Pacific still calls, so who knows what awaits over the horizon.
As for skippering up to Florida, it's something I considered doing, but instead decided to take Tarka over to the Pacific, so that's no longer on the table.

Thanks! I hope she ends up making someone else's dreams a reality, like she did for me.
It does seem that everyone wants big boats with lots of luxuries these days, though...

Thanks for the fantastic videos and recounting your voyages and explorations. Will certainly miss them while you put cruising on hold.
You've been an inspiration for us to get our own sailboat. Forwarded this to a couple of interested parties who may take you up on sailing it up to Sea of Cortez or South CA for storage for you.

I sailed for 20 years on and off on my friends Vega and never wanted a windlass. The ground tackle is light enough to work by hand and so much quicker.

Ok thanks for the informtion I will keep waiting to see if he send me more pictures. I would really like to buy her. I want to solo sail and it scares me not to be able to lift the achore up by myself. But maybe i can.
Thanks

It's a bittersweet moment, but Tarka is officially SOLD.
Really going to miss this little boat and the adventure it has provided for us. The new owner has expressed interest in crossing the Pacific, so if she's lucky, Tarka may just get her second circumnavigation after all .

My condolences, I know how it feels. When I sold my previous boat I was depressed. My late wife teased me about losing my mistress.
