Re: Pearson Triton and Trailer

Which Triton version, what is the actual max beam width? Headroom?

Where is it now? How long since sailed regularly?

Last time surveyed, report available? Hull, keel and deck truly sound? Mast, step, rudder?

What engine, how old, running details?

How long a boat max will the trailer carry, or how long is the trailer? How heavy? Steel I assume?

Possible to launch / recover off the trailer if the ramp is steep enough?

or only using a yard / marina lift?

Re: Pearson Triton and Trailer

This eastcoast Alberg is number 336, 8’3” beam, under 6’ headroom and has not been used for two years.

Decks have been repaired however there remains a soft spot adjacent hand rails.
Survey is over tens but welcome to a copy. No structural issues at the time but small blisters present.

Atomic 4 replacement with good running late model six years ago.
Refinished interior, new cushions, leak free hull and interior.
Location Kinsale Va.

Steel trailer is about 32’ long and rated up to 14000 lbs.
Open rear would enable float on with some type of extender.
I planned on land load to preserve this versatile unit.

That's just the kind of combo I was looking for when I got my boat. If I lived over there, I'd absolutely be calling you for an appointment to see the boat and trailer right away.

Re: Pearson Triton and Trailer

This combo fit my north/central America lake and coastal travel desires.
I’m not an accomplished sailor. Passages to distant ports would be behind the wheel of my diesel truck with my tinny yacht safely cruising behind at 70.

Finding a well cared for Triton on the Chesapeake was easy.
Finding a great interstate worthy sailboat trailer was hard.
Lots of untitled welded up flatbed junk.

Even new bolted up large trailers up to 10,000 lbs seemed flimsy.
They are galvanized lake weekend trailers with springs.

Sailboat Transporter builds the safest and most versatile for small yachts I found.
Welded up box v bays put the keel down near the road like a lowboy.

Eight adjustable jack supports are detachable so power boat hull supports can be installed. Go into the small yacht transport business or fill the rental demand market out there.

Re: Pearson Triton and Trailer

Yes, the boat looks great AND that trailer is a huge plus in my book. I saw one similar (trailer) about 250 miles away for $5500. They don't come up often around here. I'd think anyone on the east coast with a good size pickup looking for a great coastal cruising combo should get a look!
