Turbo for westerbeke

Alas launched 3 months ago and as yet haven’t left the dock. Now Westerbeke 120 T4 A diesel propulsion engine has developed a leak in the turbo casing. A new turbo is 6 weeks out and that ends my season before Even one sail. The Westerbeke part number is 42214. Does anyone know where I can get one new or used to save this season in under 6 weeks . Thank you in advance

Re: Turbo for westerbeke

Westerbeke doesn't make engines, only the marine equipment. Find out what engine you have and that manufacturer will sell the turbo, and probably for less money than Westerbeke. The turbo can probably be repaired.

Most of the time you can have one overhauled for much less than a new one.
Local Diesel injection shop may be able to advise where you should send it.

Yes, turbos are now a commodity item, and likely available many suppliers. Lots of places repair them. We had ours rebuilt in La Paz Mexico. Shop had all the parts in stock to boot.
