This problem can be so frustrating, however, the most common problem that I've run into and discovered is simply the small "O" ring that's located on the top of the Racor just fails to seal correctly...

I'm with you 100%, I personally don't use anchorages that are crowded for just this reason.....the isolated instances of complaints I've received over the years of running my sound proofed 9kw...

Well, she (6.354) did start up for a few seconds then shut down, did this about 6 times....now she just won't start period.
There was some carbonized Paper particles...

Sounds as if you have a short in one or more ccts, I would recommend isolating all ccts and checking every single cct for a low resistance (<50ohms) reading or even a possible dead short.
