I have just emailed the Greek embassy in Canberra to see if the old agreement is still in force, and if not when it expired. I shall report back here on their reply. |

They counted our time as starting when we arrived at the azores, and did not discount the transit time between azores and mainland portugal. Tneir reasoning was that we were in portuguese waters. |
