Nothing wrong with having the furler line on a winch, ease the jib till its luffing, secure and crank in the furling line..
Rinse and repeat till happy, no need for a flogging jib, that's just bad...

With the resultant flow off of dioxin and other pollutants into the ocean being the most likely causes of mass bleaching.
