I just did this the other way. North of Government Cut by Miami, about 1/2nm from shore their are some obstacles. Saw a freaking I beam sticking out. |

You keep the boat in Florida, you pay sales tax in Florida, and a annual registration fee. Remember the coast guard and state troopers are pretty active down here and looking for those registration... |

It all comes down to recharge rate (sources) and storage density. It looks like you have 75 hours of run time on a 40hp? Convert the hp to KWh and you have 30 KWh (x) 75 running hours for 2250 KW... |

I was genuinely glad I had a winged keel to keep catching them rather than my propeller! If you are cruising at night it means sail only, no motoring. |

Some minutia. You and your partner produce about 2 metric tons of C02 per year. A NYC resident would produce about 6 metric tons a year. The typical American produces 20metric tons per year. |
