We sail to Cuban every winter and spend up to 6 months there.

It remains to be seen if and when the Cuban Board updates that data. They really hate bad press out there.

I can confirm that as of Feb 1 2015 Marina Darsena is not a PoE.

I am currently in contact with friends in Varadero. They were turned away from entering Marina Darsena and told to check in at Gaviota. Only after 30 days in Cuba can the boat go to Darsena which is...

Canadians have been sailing to Cuba since 1992 with no problems what so ever upon returning to the USA. Though nothing changes for now with Obama normalizing relations the writing is on the wall....

Done this 15 to 20 times. ALWAYS check in at West Palm Beach. Never Key West or Miami. Good anchorage and easy ashore to customs etc at Riviera Beach Marina. Have never been hassled or even boarded....
