Re: Some thoughts on my Sarca Excel #9

Re: Prop coating. DON'T DO THIS!!

Re: Some thoughts on my Sarca Excel #9

Thanks for your comments Mauddib. Regarding the galvanizing First it’s worth noting that the shank alloy is bisalloy, a high strength steel (80,000 lb tensile ) so it does take on a slightly...

Were the winch bolts through the pad and into the mast or was it just screwed to the pad.?
If it’s the latter then that was the problem.

Re: Thoughts on Stainless Steel Anchor Chain?

Hmm is anybody going to discuss WLL of stainless vs galvanized chain and also issues with crevice corrosion and sudden failure of stainless steel vs galvanized steel?

Re: Why does iNavx use NM in it's anchor alarm?

Maybe someone already pointed out that the nautical mile is not some arbitrary archaic invention. A nautical mile as I’m sure most of us know is the distance covered by one minute of latitude. So...

Re: My simrad 4G radar is not detected

Hi Lateral,
I ended up with Simrad providing a replacement dome as it was still on warranty. It’s been perfect since then. I Still have no idea what exactly was the problem.

Re: Mast corrosion and bolted tang
