Re: First time cruising USVI

Agree with above, you don’t have enough time ! Travelling all that way, better make it a 14 day charter otherwise you’ll get home stressed!

Re: Crossing the Pacific from Panama to French Polynesia in September

Definitely don’t miss Cocos. We have never seen so many sharks at one time. From memory there are national parks mooring balls and a waterfall into the sea. It’s in an area of little wind. We spent...

Re: Hunting for food while cruising abroad.

[QUOTE=Shrew;3834974]I'd be surprised if there are really any 'Island Chief's' any longer. IF so, I'd suspect this is largely a ceremonial title.

Re: Lagoon 380 - As A liveaboard

Not a 38 but probably similar budget restrictions ! We moved aboard our 42TPI and find it to be very comfortable for two. They are an older generation, (1991 to 1995) but to some of us “older is...

42 TPI water in mast

The base of our TPI mast always has water around it. Could be coming from the top (rain) or the halyards. How have others dealt with it ? Can I drill a hole in the lower mast or base ?

Re: 40 - 44 ft Catamaran

Have a look on yachtworld using the price filter. You are not too far out on some of them, so make the offer. They can only say no ! But believe me when someone wants to sell, they want to sell. ...

Re: Better way to change oil in 3gm30f?

Re: What if This Happened On Your Boat?

Every morning anchored in the Suriname river we had to detach vast areas 50m2 of flotsam weed from the anchor chain/bow area. Snakes and other jungle critters were a concern !
