Re: Loctite for prop nut
Agreed, I have drilled 1000's of holes in SS (although never this deep, mine were panels) and the key is - keep it cool. The moment you see smoke - stop - it's too late. |

Re: Your first boat.
My first boat was a large chunk of ice that we broke off in the local creek and we floated about mile down stream before we couldn't go any further. I was around 10. |

Re: NOT running diesel under load anxiety
I'm non-boat owner so take this with a grain of salt but, I come from a family of truck drivers, and am a former truck driver, and in that world the trucks would (now they have APU's) idle all night... |

Re: Keel types
Out of curiosity, what other boats you have considered? I know some people pick large purchases for many reasons but it seems you have chosen this decision due to specs mainly, if that's the case,... |

Re: Dish Feuds With SpaceX Over Starlink Dishes Being Used on Moving Boats, Cars
It's more about narcissistic behaviors, lack of empathy, lack of regard for laws, etc. |

Re: Dish Feuds With SpaceX Over Starlink Dishes Being Used on Moving Boats, Cars
And that was my point. It is clearly illegal but as a buyer you weren't informed of that. Seems a bit shady to me. For the record, I think musk is dangerous, smart, but dangerous. |

Re: Dish Feuds With SpaceX Over Starlink Dishes Being Used on Moving Boats, Cars
But, you put it away so you didn't void the warranty, not because it's illegal. I'd be interested to know if you knew it was illegal to use when in motion when you purchased it? |

Re: Fly By Wire Outboard hits Jetty
I'm not entirely sure you're wrong. It sure looks like he was coming in hot but, I also didn't see any movement of the rear engines. Combination of both? |

Re: Fly By Wire Outboard hits Jetty
The guy in the first boat to arrive, the blue boat, indicated the boat on the rocks was too heavy for him to tow and probably would've broken something. |

Re: Outboard still rough after usual suspects
If it runs fine until it warms up it sounds like maybe the choke needs adjusted? Or, it's possible when you cleaned up the jets you nicked one, or otherwise changed the dimension, which will mess... |

Re: Falling in a vessel at a boat show
Cruisersforum is a community of sailor's and sometimes they ask questions that others don't quite understand or wouldn't ask themselves, but that doesn't give anyone the right to personally attack... |

Re: Low Profile Batteries
Just an FYI - I have been in the offroading/4x4 scene for decades and LOTS of offroad guys mount their AGM batteries on their sides. I've never heard of any issues, even with all the beating the... |

Re: La Vagabonde - I don't understand
I watched their latest episode last night and they openly spoke about past people on board (of course they were picking up two new crew members) and they changed their opening and it shows more of... |

Re: metal specific jig saw or something better
I've been building parts for Jeeps for years, if you're cutting metal this is the best way to go for a mobile application. |

Re: Lagoon cats now on discount...
You are correct in that any Lagoon owners should've known about this, that was not a line of thinking that crossed my mind. However, the fact he played his audience to the level that he did for... |

Re: Lagoon cats now on discount...
I completely agree with you and it sheds light on the fact that Colin seems more interested in his YT channel than the actual safety of his fellow sailors. If he knew about this on April 30 (90... |

Re: Lagoon cats now on discount...
Here's what I got out of it - if you own a Lagoon 450 then head to your nearest dealer or approved service location and they will inspect if for free. If there is damage and there is history of... |

Re: Just Buy Boat OR More Training...HELP!
Get the boat. Once you're there you can find/hire someone local to show you how to sail, either way, you're going to be on a boat with someone, might as well make it your boat so you know what... |

Re: Lagoon cats now on discount...
This. I'm not saying it's not an issue, I'm just saying it's too early in the process to start throwing names around and blaming people. I think Colin shot himself in the foot on this one. |
