Hi Margo

Yes, its called sea kayaking here too now but back in the 70s and 80s, we when sea canoeing in kayaks or canoes. I think it was just the romantics that have changed the name to the Eskimo name for a canoe.
I sailed dingys before I when sea canoeing and only come back to sailing with my wife since 2003, but I have found if you can paddle 20nm in a day its a lot easier to sail 30nm.
