Puppies Aboard - Can You Say 'Awww' . . .

Boat dogs first litter have their eyes open now..cute little buggers..

For those of you that didn't here the story...My wife felt that after I/we bought the boat "my dream" she could buy "her dream"...an indoor dust mop...
Now being the sharp negotiator that I are...I calmly explained that we would have to live on the boat to make it a fair trade to living with a dog 24/7 ..( we have never had an indoor animal before this)....so we negotiated and compromised like good little hubby and wiffys....she agreed she could learn to live 6 months on the boat and 6 months off if I could learn to live with magic mop full time ....she didn't have to say that twice...so home came Roca....

One day walking down town La Conner I had Roca on a leash...This smartly dressed middle aged couple walking towards us started to grin as they got closer and closer...Finally the guy could not hold it in any more and started to giggle..." Im sorry he said...it's just there is something wrong with this picture"....I knew in a instant what he meant...he was wondering what a macho guy like me was walking the foo foo dog for instead of my wife...

I didn't miss a beat and said "You have know idea"....

I dont let on or make to big of comotion that I have gotten to really like the dog this past 3 years but I actually have....an easy trade... ....and these little rascels are pretty cool too .......pups are a first for both of us as well....its all good.

I call them boat buck 1-2-3-&4...LOL

We haven't started to live aboard yet so the way I have it figured were good for a year and a half straight stint saved up already...

That's my favorite as well...and will probably end up the same light coloring as Roca as she was that dark as a pup.

I forgot to mention the breed...Yorkie-Poo............yep! mutts...

As a full-time cruising dog, allow me to recommend some behavior preparation for the puppies to develop into good boat dogs...

......
Deck watch is important, but nothing beats good training in producing a product on deck!

.........
....serious boat dogs don't need a dinghy ride! Take care and joy, Aythya crew

Really cute . I ´d like the "authoritative" one in the front ,haha. His/Her expression is like "don´t get any closer with that funny thing you are pointing at us ...."

I kind of like the one “Eye” hiding behind the other 2. (You need to zoom in)

I can see focused scrutiny and the intelligence in that stare with the prescence to let others test the waters.

Of course… the mutt could just be having a bad hair day

Cute!
