That is soSOsoSO true!

If you want to read the funniest account of being pregnant on a boat click here and then on the left click on "TALL TALES" and then from the list choose T.P.B.P. It's a first trimester Pacific crossing. And it's a fabulous read!

I just keeping thinking if my water breaks on the new ultrasuede.... nooooo! I am sitting on towels

(Cindy, Schoonerdog's wife)

I just finished reading the TBPB post and it was hysterical. Thanks for pointing it out to us. And BTW, I can't believe you haven't had that baby yet! I remember finding your blog through Spinsheet when we were in Annapolis this summer.

Dave - can I quote you on that

So I am 41 weeks and last night while tidying up around the boat I actually bumped/ scrapred against something hard enough (not even sure what it was, something in the starboard hull) that I got as nice gash across my belly. Bleeding and everything Looks like I tried to do a self c-section surgery... oy.

It's getting tight in here...

Same rules as in international aviation. The nationality is the nationality of the parents if in international waters. Birth certificate would be issued upon the return to the parents country after filling out copious amounts of paperwork. Best to keep a written log book documenting positions of the vessel and time of the birth.

Assuming that the question is not rhetorical, the baby would have the nationality of the parents. If they have different nationalities then the child would have duel citizenship. The birth would have to be registered according to the county (countries) in question.

Congratulations!

She's small enough to send up the mast without the winch!
