I like my drinks at anchor. I tend to worry too much underway but a nightcap does make for a great convivial if it's an easy sail. Underway I really go for Campari & soda. That drink seems to kill any motion sickness.

Just keep topping up with the cola
If i make it around your way we will have too give it a go. I was already thinking the original Long Island recipe was a great soothing drink for the occasion

Don’t freak that I am politically correct. As above after seeing the destructive side of drugs and alcohol I am probably just a bit more “sensible” when it comes to this topic. Admittedly, I have even been hitting those cheap wines a bit too much myself of late.

My weapon of choice before dark has to be an ice cold beer. In summer I go a good clean crisp euro bottle and in winter stout. After dark a good bottle of Shiraz is the go – something slightly delicate where the complex flavours dance to the kero lanterns and seas. Gotta admit to I am a sucker for a good Scotch. Just the stuff I prefer is usually out of the budget. Last time I was up Airlie Beach I hit the rum bar and became partially addicted to that 18 whatever rum with the vanilla tones. Another one for special occasions.

A foodie blog I read posted an article about appreciating cheap wine and of course, they're using Two Buck Chuck as the example (I think they read my mind!)

If I'm not drinking beer, and that doesn't happen too often, it's a good 100% agave or calvados or ... well, you know how that goes.

A nice refresher: a couple of cubes, a healthy splash of lime juice, couple of ounces of good tequila and top with soda water.
