Angry How to attach Origo 6000 stove pot holders?

These pot holders and stove came with our boat but we cannot figure out how the hell they're supposed to be attached!

After my hash browns ended up on the floor a moment ago, I figured that it's time to put this issue to rest once and for all so that this sorrow will no longer plague my eating times...

Here are some photos...the stove has a thin horizontal bar running across its front. The pot holders appear to connect to a vertical bar. Are we missing a piece?

Don't those fasten onto the round rod?

My Origo pot holders have bronze thumbscrews and fit to the bar similarly to those shown in your post, and do a fine job of restraining pots on the stove from horizontal movement.

Here is the web image of pot holders like mine:

The pot holder on the right in your picture seems to be bent at an unusual angle compared to a new pot holder.

Your stove is also missing flame spreaders, which assist greatly in shaping the flame for heating efficiency. Flame spreaders are shown in this web image:

PErhaps you have the wrong pot holders. Those look like the ones for a princess range with a flat vertical bar.
