We have one of the largest (130 qt?) Engel top loaders built in under one of the lower settee benches. It is our freezer.
If you are below and everything is silent, you can hear it start up and the small him during operation.
That settee area converts to a double berth and guests when warned their pillow is directly above the freezer report they hardly notice it at first, and not at all after the first night's rest...
Thinking of your front loader, we are considering replacing a very old front loading Norcold (which still works flawlessly but is an amp-eater...) We will end up with less refrigerated space, but will gain a deep drawer out of the deal.
