Jordon series drogue, double enders

With the Jordon series drogue, I understand the attachment points are located further forward on a double ender, nearer to the widest point. I wonder if anyone has any experience with, or ideas on, the safety of an out hung rudder and wind vane. It doesn't seem like that much yaw would need to occur before chafe and or damage would occur. Possibly bending the vane supports into the rudder or worse.

Re: Jordon series drogue, double enders

We have a classic stern with a wind vane. I put the mounts on the out side of the hull. However only about 6" forward. I have played with the Drouge bridle and at some point the drouge will be pulling on just one side of the bridle and will hit the windvane. From what I have read the drouge keeps you from slewing around enough that it may not be a problem, on our boat. On your boat mounted fwd, the bridle is probably going to rub on the hull first before the vane and rudder. I don't remember the guidelines for bridle length but longer would be better?
