We have a
classic stern with a
wind vane. I put the mounts on the out side of the
hull. However only about 6" forward. I have played with the Drouge
bridle and at some point the drouge will be pulling on just one side of the
bridle and will hit the
windvane. From what I have read the drouge keeps you from slewing around enough that it may not be a problem, on our
boat. On your
boat mounted fwd, the bridle is probably going to rub on the
hull first before the vane and rudder. I don't remember the guidelines for bridle length but longer would be better?
