Hi, Ya'll,
Oh, hell, another Texan you gotta put up with!
I've sailed for about 8 years, most sailing time spent crewing for local races & friends cruisers, while owning 14'-22' daysailing boats.
I expect to be mostly lurking (gathering ammo for when (& if) I can afford or decide to move up to a "real" cruising sailboat.
I'm favoring a 27-28 powered with Atomic 4 (I'm good with old gas engines, not familiar with Diesel operations) but wouldn't kick a good diesel powered boat off my list. I'll adapt for the right configuration.
I solo sail my C-22 in Galveston Bay & surrounds, with little desire for offshore work at this time.
So I'll be around. Just don't beat me up too badly while I'm getting my lurker's permit.

Lynn

Aloha Lynn,
Welcome aboard!! Good to have you here. Ask away and chime in with an opinion from time to time. I think you're looking for the right size boat. I prefer diesel for more maintenance free performance and less volatile fuel but Atomic 4s are really great gas engines.
Kind Regards,
JohnL
