Greetings to all! I have enjoyed reading many posts here. I have just purchased my first sailboat, a 26' sloop. I grew up on the east coast of Florida, and always wanted to sail. I have a little experience on a HobieCat, but have no experience on anything bigger. I will be taking my time learning. I'm a 54 year old lady with a 10 year old child, so will be staying close to home for the time being. I will learn the ropes on the St. Johns River, and hope to get away for short trips in the future. I am a quick learner, I'm handy with tools, know how to use fiberglass, and I don't scare easily. Wish me luck?
