Good to see you.. I'm sure you will find lots of informative and just plan funny things here... just chime in and enjoy the swim..

I'm presently in Tortola, BVI and will be bouncing between the BVI and USVI islands for the next couple of months..

Looking to see you out here soon.

Hi, Carina. I'm also a newcomer to the board. These people are great. They have helped me think through the process of getting the right boat and educated me along the way. We still haven't found the right one but I'm getting a better idea of what we want. Welcome aboard!

Hey

Hey Carina
You have landed on a great site. Anything you want to know about live on the water is here. Have fun and ask away. What kind of boat do have or want to have?

Welcome on board. It's great Cruising on this board, especially when the weather is hostile at home. You'll enjoy it too.

Welcome aboard !!!

At 58 foot air-draft (?) you may still be able to do the AICW, if you choose.
There’s about 130 Bridges on the ICW, most of them opening. The fixed bridges generally* allow a 65 foot air draft.

* The one exception is the fixed (Julia Tuttle Causeway) 56-foot bridge at Mile 1087 in Miami.

Thanks for the reply-To be clear my draft is 5'8" board up with a 63' 6" mast off the water (without antennas)-I'm hearing of folks with 5' draft constantly going aground as they have not kept up dredging ??--Cheers--Jerry bruen
