New Member To This Forum--From Grapevine Texas

Hi everyone, this looks like a great forum! I was googling the idea of a loose footed mainsail and came across a post on this board...I'll go reply to that separately. I have sailed for about 30 years, I am the sailor and my wife (Admiral) is the one that goes along out of kindness for my desires for sailing but she enjoys it. We live adjacent to Army Corp property that surrounds Grapevine Lake in Grapevine TX so our house is the closest house to Scotts Landing Marina, where my 1983 Catalina 30 is moored.

We don't get out on it as much as I'd like, but with cooler weather coming so I hope to!

We've been sailing in the BVI's and just last week I crewed on a C&C 40 sailing/motoring it down from Kelsey Bay, Vancouver Island BC to Seattle, it's winter home...that was interesting!!

I see other Texas sailors on this board and also lots of sailors with plenty of sailing experience willing to share ideas...

Welcome aboard! Grapevine is a fun lake, remember it well. You get to see the bottom of a lot of aircraft. We used to lay on deck, drink beer and watch them fly over. How are things up North?
