hullo from the Pacific Northwest

Hey all,

I've been lurking and searching and reading for months. My fiance and I finally have the boat - a shiny Caliber 40 - sitting on jackstands in a yard in Seattle. Now that we have the boat I figured I'd say hey.

We're planning on taking off next spring for Alaska and from there south to Mexico. Lots to learn and prep.

Thanks for all the help. We've gleaned buckets of info from the site.

Jason

Aloha Jason,
Welcome aboard! A shiny boat? Must not have been used much. Just kidding and congratulations. I hope you get to splash soon and enjoy sailing. You're in the right place on the left coast for boats, boating and sailing.
Kind regards,
JohnL

Thanks all! She's surprisingly shiny given the amount of use she's had. But maybe that's a little new owner perspective adding to the shine.

We just got the mast back on so we're back to being a sailboat. Which is good because water-skiing at 7 knots sucks.
