Hey all
Hope you are doing well!
We are Martin (USA) & Nieke (Netherlands). We just spent the past months
learning to sail in Hollands Diep (Netherlands) on a lovely 27'
Sloop. Needless to say it was amazing and we are now "hooked" on the idea of a 'life at sea.'
Our plan is to learn about owning & maintaining a
bluewater sailboat and become... well just better sailors in general. We hope to learn mostly by actual
experience:
crewing on as many passages possible and of course by meeting all you veteran cruisers.
We are open to any sailing opportunities and would really want to crew on the
Atlantic Crossing this year. We are currently in
Spain in the Andalusia area (Malaga, Tarifa, Cadiz, Gibraltar-UK). It would be terrific to meet some cruisers in the area (looking for crew or not).
If we can't find a
boat here on the mainland we will
head over to
Las Palmas in early November.
If you have any
advice (or know someone who might be looking for some company), just want to say "hi" or meet up for a coffee/beer we'd love to hear from you
