Greetings from the Warm Aegean Coast

Hi everybody.
As seen I'm new in this forum.
Living in Istanbul. We, with my wife, have a 39 feet Beneteau monohull and are sailing about five years around Aegean coast of Turkey and some Greek islands. After being around in west Med in 2012 and 2013, on 2014 planning to pass Atlantic by ARC on a charter first than for the next year dreaming the same and beyond with our boat.
And joining with some of you in the future in somewhere, who knows...
May the water be under your keel always.
Cheers.

Hi !
Welcome onboard CF...
It is the least I can do because I am used to be so welcomed when sailing in Turkey !
You have a very exciting project for next years indeed...
Cheers

Welcome to CF! You will find a wealth of information here. Don't forget to search the archives also -- there a squillibytes of good information in there.

Like many denizens of CF, I have spent some magical weeks cruising Turkey's Aegean coast. The only problem I see in your plan is that you will have great difficulty finding any place so nice to sail as your home waters!

G'Day Huyzuz,
Welcome to the site and hope you find it as useful as we do.
If you've not considered it before, why to join the EMYR before you head off to contemplate the ARC? It will allow you to get comfortable with night passages in close company usually with smooth seas, and of course get you into a few 'difficult' locations you might not otherwise get to visit. I am sure you don't need to be told there is an aweful lot to explore in the Med before you head off westward...........
Enjoy
JOHN
