In the long days of summer, if the winds are right, you could do it in a day with an early start. My
boat is bigger but in 15 knots steady I get across the Strait in 5 hours. Problem is the prevailing winds are either NW or SE so the crossing is quicker then the haul up coast. If you can catch a SE
wind you'll make good time with a NE you'll b better off
motor sailing. Sometimes you can catch a westerlie off of Qualicum.
