Avon redshank

Hello peeps, i have just joined this site as i have just purchased an old avon redshank. Made in the mid 70,s i do believe. The problem i have is that i do not have the transom for it and i was jusy wondering if anybody on here maybe might have one for sale? Any info on this boat or the transom would be gladly recieved. Andy, when you say "transom" I take it you mean the engine mounting frame?

If so keep an eye on e bay and Gumtree, they come up often £40 - £100 depending on condition. There are some after market ones for £100 in stainless steel which might be worth looking at as the original rusts so take care if buying second hand. Good dinghies if a little wet. We have a Red Crest stored away, with an engine frame and seagull outboard, for my retirement.

Yes i mean the engine mount bracket. Thx for the quick response and i will keep checking ebay. There are a couple on there at the moment but they are both corroded and they want 60 -75£+ for them i guess ill just have to keep looking.

That's actually a good price, we paid more that for a used one.
