Greetings Alan and Dawn,
FC? As in Ferro Cement?
I've only been interested in boating for 18 months and just got my first boat 6 months ago, so I am still on the steep part of the learning curve. The first boat I wanted to buy was an "FC'' but it sold before I could liquidate funds. Those I spoke to who were somewhat involved with boating did not share my excitement about it. And then the insurance issue. But I met a guy who bought one for CDN$500, 42' ketch, sails great, dry as a bone, and he's happy. He contacted over 50 ins. agents before getting insured. Lives on her now!
How long have you had yours? Any issues?
New Zealand eh? Isn't that part of Australia?....just kidding!
We Canadians cling desperately to our identity in the shadow of the cultural steamroller of our friends south of the border.
Anyway, welcome and good to hear from you.
