World's Largest Mermaid
OK, when I first looked at this story, there were all sorts of things that went through my mind best not discussed in public.
What I was wondering though, do mermaids have knees? I thought they had scales down there, at least they did in Pirates of the Caribbean 4.

Re: World's largest mermaid
It looks more like Casey Anthony taking a bath. The resemblance is striking.

Re: World's largest mermaid
A real good example of how the PRESS can always get it wrong...........
You are absolutly correct...mermaids do NOT have knees.....just scales and fins....I know!!!!!!!!!!

Re: World's largest mermaid
Ah. Maybe you all have it wrong. I think it is ONE mermaid - sitting on a poor man (definitely man knees, them) who naively dove down to check whether she has scales or thighs down there..... wonder what he can see down there?
Oh, what has this got to do with yachting, BTW?

Aren't mermaids loosely associated with the seas? I think I recall them being on bows in days of yore? And sailors tales. Legends you know

I KNEW I was a "behind the times"... I had to look up who Casey Anthony was. Good thing I don't watch Nancy Grace.
I cancelled my cable 2 years ago, so these themes are just not top of mind

Re: World's Largest Mermaid
What do you mean what does this have to do with boats (1) there is a boat in the pic (2) now you know the secret of where the foul weather originates (3) where the nice breeze originates. Do I need to explain the good versus the bad? <G> I think they have knees if exposed to the air for long enough but I'll go check the goddess I live with, but I think she has knees. Oh and I think it is silly to even make such a thing but to each their own.
