That is good news. One is fine, don't need a whole flock.

Re: Squatter moved onto my boat.
Well the boat is parked miles out in the deserted woods. Any required disposal would not be a problem.
Would not even need to borrow a backhoe from Grant.

I'm too much of a pushover. Will at least wait until the babies are gone before eviction. Besides, the wife would not be happy if I offed the bird.

Of Course, I could do without the mud-daubers in my stowed sails.

Have a mud-dauber problem myself. They do get a very different treatment than the bird. Just don't have the same cute factor.

About time someone got some real use out of that boat!

Re: Squatter moved onto my boat.
Just be aware of one additional problem. The problem that I encounted was on land with a bird house that a robin had laid her eggs and soon the little birds hatched. Each morning I would hear the little ones chirping and I would carefully have a look see until one day the mother robin was outside the house hopping on the ground. I looked in again and a snake had taken up residence and was digesting his meal. It was his last.

Yes it is about time. So, does this make it officially a live aboard boat?

Similar thing happened to us at home. Had wrens nesting under the eaves on my back patio. Went out one morning to see a snake on the patio with three big lumps down the body and an empty nest.

Re: Squatter moved onto my boat.
It's amazing how quickly nature moves in when people aren't around.
