Single Sailors Seeking Soul Mate Group

I started a new Group, this is a work in progress

This group is for those who have the dream, but not the mate.
Singles Sailors Seeking Soul Mates is a group for those who are looking for a long term relationship, life partner, or a soul mate to share their sailing/boating adventures. Whether it's chugging up the Mississippi in a beautiful trawler, sailing around the bay or around the world, it's living the dream and having someone to share it with. If you don’t have that mate, Single Sailors Seeking Soul Mates is a great place to start.

To be a part of this group:
Simply write a short bio and summary of what you are looking for in a mate. Be sure to end with an invite to your profile where you can expand further if you like. This will be posted for all to view within the Cruising Forum community. This Single Sailors Seeking Soul Mates Group will be strictly a place to post single sailor biographies. Any social commentaries will need to be posted in the Cruisers Forum.

If a more party-like atmosphere, with casual dating, is your speed – good on you. But that is not why this group was created.

Most of you all know that my Mom met my Step Dad in a simular manner, ( she was a Cruising World Magazine Bride), ya just never know! I'm still tweeking the site out, just wanted to let you all know about it, hope to see you single sailors on there,
Cheers,
Erika

Good idea and I hope people who drop in are sincere, honest and realistic. Wouldn't it be great if you become a match maker!

I have set the singles group site to be moderated, with all messages approved. This should keep us on topic. It is now up and running

Is there Bondage & Discipline section? Sailors are good with knots, you know . . . . and the occasional cat o' nine tails . . . and there's usually lots and lots of cordage around . .

My congratulations to you for taking this initiative. Based on my experience, there tends to be a significant number of men seeking a mate who would be "cruising oriented". Thus the male population on CF, will I suspect appreciate your innovation.

May I suggest an addition? Everyone who is a member of the group needs to have a photo of him/her self posted in their profile. I will not debate the pros and cons of this, other than to say visual chemistry has been demonstrated to be important to most individuals using on-line means to "make a relationship connecton"....

Again, congrats on a great CF innovation!

Me too Although I won't be joining quite yet, might I suggest that as the Groups function is not obvious on CF.com that folk who are members / supporters include a link to the Group in their signature (call it nice spam ).

I set the group to moderate, and to approve messages. This causes a delay in your joining / post BUT it will keep our group site free of off topic comments or criticisms. So when you click to join I will be notified of your request and add you as a member. I tried to find a better way but this is best I could do. I will post this delay problem at the group site too. Thanks for your feedback.
Cheers ,
Erika

Add me too even though im the other side of the puddle. It used to be a pond but the world is shrinking and I need to widen the search to include countries where men think outside the traditional box of lifes expectations

anjou,
Frankly, I have not met a better group of sailors, that is, as well as you can tell via the internet. Also, I think a good way to check character/personality is to search their previous posts.
Here is the link

Remember there is a delay from joining to post, but I have been trying to check very often so you guys can get started right away.
Cheers,
Erika
