Not to worry about draft or mast height going to Hudson,NY. Albany is major shipping port and is served by ocean going vesels, and iswell north of Hudson.
The area beween the George Washington Bridge and the Newburg-Beacon bridge is my old stomping grounds, when I used to work for SEA//TOW. Ranthat part of the river at all times of ay and night. Sometimes went as far south as Statue of Liberty and north as far as Kingston.
If you decide to do the Great Loop, you have a choice of going the Seaway route,or the Erie Canal. Seaway is much longer, but you have to pull stick(s). Twice, if you go into the Chicago River.

Zee, I'm doing almost the opposite of you. I'll be heading out of FL to do Bahamas, DP, PR, around the VIs, then on to Panama (route TBD) and up the Pacific coast to Sea of Cortez.

I sure hope I see you as we cross paths. We could also trade crew if someone rides with you but wants to head back to Califor ni aye!

Now that's a fantasy little monkey. Perhaps you could rig a lawn chair on the deck, bring a cooler for coldies and rally enjoy the view along the way...just lash yourself down good and watch out for low bridges!

Nothing wrong with that quote and it is not just Christian. While I appreciate Messianic sayings, this one also translates into the law of karma and even a tenant of white magic. It really is a universal ideal for leading a fulfilling life.

It’s just such a pity that our overindulgent marketing society breeds narcissists who are self satisfying clones. Having this realisation is probably why I enjoy the freedom of being out on the boat with nature and spending some time tunning into community radio stations that still seem to have a bit of spirit. There still are some great people out there; it is just a pity so many others are thoroughly trapped in the competitive greed cycle.

Seriously, the best part of the reason I am currently partnerless is the fact I am not willing to buy into this competition. The way I see it is at least somewhere down the line I might have a better chance of meeting someone genuine?

I can't speak for others, but it appears at times that all of the non-conformists are doing similar things, i. e., conforming to the current definition of non-conformity. I'm probably as guilty as the next person, so I try not to worry about it and look for the moments when I feel closest to the deity inside me. Nature, art, love, and play are my starting points.
