That is not healthy person they are sick just not showing symptoms.
And asymptomatic have not been shown to spread this particular virus from Tibet and lab manipulated for gain of function

Are you really sure of that?
Or, is this another one of your "it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, & sounds like a duck ... so it must be a conspiracy to silence me" theories?

Tibet is a long way [± 1,386 miles, by air] from Wuhan City, Hubei Province.

And, since this is a science news thread:
15,000-year-old viruses discovered in Tibetan glacier ice
Ice core samples, from a Tibetan glacier, have yielded a collection of viruses, and other microbes, that are nearly 15,000 years old.

According to the study [1] describing these microbes, published in the journal Microbiome, many of the viruses are unlike any known to researchers today.

“These glaciers were formed gradually, and along with dust and gases, many, many viruses were also deposited in that ice,”
says study author Zhi-Ping Zhong, a microbiologist at Ohio State University, in a statement. [2]“The glaciers in western China are not well-studied, and our goal is to use this information to reflect past environments. And viruses are a part of those environments.”

Climate and complex systems share Nobel Prize

The Nobel Prize in Physics 2021 ➥ https://www.nobelprize.org/prizes/physics/2021/summary/

Three researchers, Syukuro Manabe % Klaus Hasselmann, and Giorgio Parisi have won the 2021 Nobel Prize in Physics [10 million Swedish kronor, (US$1.15 million], for their work on describing complex physical systems — including foundational research that predicted that increasing levels of carbon dioxide, in Earth’s atmosphere, would raise global temperatures

Parisi won his half of the prize “for the discovery of the interplay of disorder and fluctuations in physical systems from atomic to planetary scales”.

Manabe and Hasselmann share their half of the prize equally “for the physical modelling of Earth’s climate, quantifying variability and reliably predicting global warming”.

Asked if the Nobel committee was sending a message to world leaders with the award, Göran Hansson, secretary-general of the prize-awarding Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences, said:
“What we are saying is that the modelling climate is solidly based in physical theory and solid physics.”
He added: “Global warming is resting on solid science. That is the message.”

Re: Science & Technology News

Analysis:
Which countries are historically responsible for climate change?

In first place on the rankings, the US has released more than 509Gt CO2, since 1850, and is responsible for the largest share of historical emissions, Carbon Brief analysis shows, with some 20% of the global total.

China is a relatively distant second, with 11%, followed by Russia (7%), Brazil (5%) and Indonesia (4%). The latter pair are among the top 10 largest historical emitters, due to CO2 from their land.

Meanwhile, large post-colonial European nations, such as Germany and the UK, account for 4% and 3% of the global total, respectively, not including overseas emissions under colonial rule.

India is in seventh place in the rankings, with 3.4% of the cumulative total – just above the UK, on 3.0% – as a result of a higher contribution from land-use change and forestry.

Japan on 2.7% and Canada, with 2.6%, close out the top 10 largest contributors to historical emissions.

Re: Science & Technology News

Everyone, take a breath, some good news from science.

Interestingly, NOAA, UAH, and three other institutions that measure global temperature anomalies all show declining global temperature anomaly data over the last five years (between 2016 and 2020.)

"The declines have occurred despite the continuing increase in Mauna Loa measured global atmospheric CO2 levels."

Please critique the data not the person delivering the message!

You make a negative conspiracy comment towards me ( a personal ) and then you post a link and synopsis on the expedition that went to the glaciers in Tibet that found iirc 34 different novel coronavirus.
BTW the expedition was done by the chineese government.
The Wuhan lab was the closest level 4 lab equipped to study the pathogens.

When 'data' is consistently provided that proves to be manipulated, misinterpreted, cherry-picked, or outright lies and generally a literal waste of time (since it must be analyzed to be proved incorrect), it is entirely appropriate to critique the 'messenger', or, as some thin-skinned, hypocritical members are wont to claim, "attack" the 'messenger'.

If you want to be taken seriously, try providing serious (i.e. real) data...

Re: Science & Technology News

If need be; plenty of real data on 'msm'.

But a cursory perusal of just this thread will show that 'serious' posters link their posts to the source of the data probably at least half the time, whilst the disingenuous, if they provide any backup at all, tend much more to link to easily proven BS sites, many of which can, or should, be considered 'msm'.

'Watts up with that' is certainly a proven biased, bogus 'msm' site; last time I was there, they even bragged about it on their home page.

Of course, people who have a good, basic-or-better understanding of science, logic and reason, and the ability to use them, can almost always decide for themselves the accuracy of any given claim.

Those who succumb to various conspiracies and manipulative lies are often just lazy...and, apparently, more subject to confirmation bias than others.

Pfizer scientists on hidden camera:
"Natural antibodies work better than the vaccines"
"just sent 3,000 patients' samples to get tested for elevated troponin levels (to detect heart attack) to see if it's vaccine based....all external testing. We'll see, hopefully it's good ...if not, in my opinion they might pull something from the market"
"I still feel like I work for an evil corporation because it comes down to profits in the end"

Re: Science & Technology News

It's just amusing that those here who most constantly slam the "msm" are the ones most likely to be putting their trust in overtly-biased fringe sites. And of course cut'n'pasting from those.

My favourite "biased media!" moment was when #45 told his followers to follow One America because Faux wasn't biased enough any more.

I'm never going to respect ANY complaint about the msm coming from that crowd.

(this is social science and psychology, therefore on-topic )

Quick solution - don't watch American news.

Or seek out the 10% that aren't part of the corporate news funnels. Or -gasp- develop some skills and discernment, read widely, and take every news source with a grain of salt.

I appreciate that this advice is completely lost on anyone who's already neck-deep into fringe and "alternate-fact" sites.
