Seriously? Are they really going out there way that much to try and twist things, yes maybe when co2 goes past 1500ppm then plant growth slows down, but what a crock of horse manure...

This is the most absurd pile of horse manure i have heard in a long time.

Every commercial plant grower supplements co2 where possible for far increased
yields and have been doing so for longer than any nancy wancy study some
undergrad student could do in on season.

I call complete and utter bull on this one......
Once you get your hyperventilation under control, and if you're not allergic to scientific research on the topic, you might find that CO2 fertilization is much more complicated than first thought. Below are three websites that comment on some of those complexities.

Some of the take-aways include:

Yes, CO2 can increase plant growth, especially in C3 plants, but not so much in C4 plants

For many plants in the wild a lack of nutrients, such as nitrogen, is the major factor limiting growth, not a lack of CO2.

A number of food crops that grow faster under conditions of elevated CO2 conditions ALSO have less nutritive value.

With higher CO2 levels also come higher temperatures. The heat stress of higher temperatures on plants often outweighs the positives of higher CO2 levels.

Climate change is changing precipitation patterns. This makes farming all that more difficult -- either with excess rain, lack of rain, or rain at the wrong time.

I believe that it is not scientifically proven that burning fossil fuels by humans causes Global Warming and sea level rise in the past 150 years. I also believe that there is nothing humans can do about geologic changes. However I also believe that 'fossil fuels' are the worlds most valuable substances and to waste them is ridiculous as they are not replaceable. Just look around wherever you are and see all the wonderful "Plastic" things we use ---including this computer!!

4 years of cooling will show as a reduction in the rate of warming in a long term trend jack you know how averaging works . Do the math.

Plastics sequester carbon. That's why these guy's CBF'd about very real issue of ocean microplastics and are more interested in some obscure shellfish that may, or may not, be able to possibly overcome ocean pH imbalance that could effect the growth of it's shell during a potentially critical phase of it's larval development. Perhaps.

The history of Science is also the history of so-called Scientists jumping on one monetizing to them bandwagon after another--only to find such bandwagons proven false. For several hundred years "scientists" sold the belief that draining blood from sick people helped cure them. They were paid good money for this.

I figured as much. Then again, I think this was the guy who's attributed with saying "by all means marry, if you find a good wife you'll be happy. If you don't, you'll become a philosopher."

Maybe the trick is to be more like Socrates, including not worrying so much about global warming. Speaking of which, SailOar's on a tear and I think he may need a timeout.
