Why I can’t find videos of Wharram 48 Bazinga sailing?

I love all the construction videos of the Palm Beach built Wharram 48 Bazinga. But never saw a single video actually sailing, and the bot was sold for around $200K
Does anybody seen the videos? Is it under a different name?

Good find GordMay. Has she been modified or overloaded? That seems like low freeboard for a big Wharram?
Cheers

Huge amount of photos all over the internet of this boat and many more videos of the construction at the builder's channel linked above.

Yes I think the boat ended up heavier than originally planned as the owners kept adding more feature requests, but also a lot of the boat, including the hulls, is all built in composite.

Also the hull design is originally low freeboard, so she looks like she is very low in the water regardless.

For example see this photo of the completed hull out of the shed:

Re: Why I can’t find videos of Wharram 48 Bazinga sailing?

I'm also looking forward to an update of this modified Tehini 51 that Boatsmith is building.

I also have some thoughts to have the helm and sail handling forward, since most of the time a cruising boat at sea will be on autopilot or windvane and this layout keeps all the lines and technical area in one place, and out of the way.

This then allows for all the space aft of that, all the way to the swim platform, to be one continuous large space, instead of being broken up into multiple small spaces like on many other Wharrams.

In my opinion even a lot of modern cruising catamarans have cockpits which are too small for tropical cruising, since this is were you spend so much of your time, possibly also even cooking and sleeping out there too.

So I saw all the construction videos and the christening Champaign video- no actual sailing at all... crazy the original owner never posted a single video, specially as the description when they resold the boat, mentioned it won several regattas

I agree, it would have been nice to see more sailing videos of that boat.

Did you see the short sailing video that I posted above, titled IMG 1524 2 ?

Short but still nice

Yes I saw that one a couple of days ago, looks like it was going well, with the two dagger boards, I wanted to understand the performance of the boat. Whoever bought this boat, hopefully will eventually post something
