First find you a broker, the sellers broker is for the seller, not you.
A buyers broker can get a lot of info you may not be able to, like comps, and in the case of my boat
, we were able to find out what the seller paid for it.
Buyers broker has a list of good surveyors, a very through comprehensive survey
can of course save you some bad surprises, but can also be a very valuable tool for bargaining the final price
Oh and a buyers broker and the sellers broker split the comission, if there is no buyers broker, then the sellers keeps the whole lot, so having a buyers brokers costs you nothing
