Hi Ed,
Those cormorants are pesky mites but at least your seagulls have not been able to master the duck and weave waltz to date. Lets hope it stays that way otherwise it time for the 'hang em high' scenario.
Meanwhile the netting works for me.

The Gull Sweep is very effective, and with the daily wind on Buzzards Bay the gulls would need to duck at about 120 beats per minute. Remember they are bird brains, and haven't figured it out for over a year.i feel fairly safe they won't.

I am told that hoisting a feather duster in the rigging will serve the "corpse" purpose, without the icky factor. Never tried it myself, though.
