Monday morning aboard Sláinte mhaith and I wake to the sound of the Better 9/10ths making coffee, except, what is that noise? It sounded like our dog having an asthma attack! No, the water tank is about bone dry. Too many guest trips to the head.

I crawl out of the V-berth and head over to the water line and get that going and then I notice that one of my dock lines is floating. No, not the easy to reach one, the one to the post holding the starboard aft cleat has come off the pole. To makes matters even more fun, we have a good, stiff wind blowing from the East directly at the aft end of our little boat.

Well, good thing I have a plan. I'll fish the line out of the water, tie a proper bowline, use the extending boat hook to lower the line over the post and retire to the cleat. My wife has no faith in my plan because she didn't quite get what I was talking about. King Ineptune , she muttered. Oh yeah, watch this! Just like I planned!

When I finished my tasks, the coffee was served with an apologetic, "Oh, I see, now. Nicely done."

And now to sit back and enjoy the morning.
