Live aboard marina east central Florida

Ooooops I just posted this to the multihull forum then noticed this much more appropriate one (newbie haha.)
We are looking a marina from which we can cross the Gulf Stream.. It has to be somewhat close to MCO airport since my husband is an airline pilot.. Any suggestions? We're hoping to park a 45'-60' catamaran, we haven't bought that yet but we are definitely the fly by the seat of our pants types so this isn't a far featched in the future dream.. Thanks (:

You might check Waterline in Melbourne, nice and protected if able to accommodate 60' Cat. Trouble is you have Port Canaveral 20 miles north and Fort Pierce even farther south to get out. Harbour Towne in Fort Pierce is a nice and an easy inlet without locks, but a drive from MCO.

Thank you! Melbourne sounds real interesting, there's lots of pilot that live in that area I hear.. We are kind of looking at Ft. pierce as well even though it's a bit of a drive.. I will check out Waterline though thanks for the advise ((:

Harbortown on Merritt Island near Port Canaveral is very close to MCO. The people on E dock are a great group. There may be a cat spot on D dock.
